The Methodist Hall Birmingham & Que Club
Although the Methodist Central Hall in Birmingham is slowly decaying, it still commands an imposing view through Corporation Street. It was built circa 1903 with the main hall seating a huge 2,000 people. The ground floor had retail shops and in 1991 the upstairs was converted into a very well-known and successful nightclub, the Que Club. However, this closed in 2002 and since then the building has sadly deteriorated even more. Planning permission has been granted for a large hotel but nothing further has happened at the time of publishing these photos. My booklet containing all these full-colour images is currently for sale at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and very reasonably priced at £5.
