Smartphone Photography

During March 2024 I decided to join a talk by Brendan Ó Sé on ‘How The Limits Of The Smartphone Made Me A Better Photographer’. Being a confirmed Panasonic Lumix photographer, I thought I could be bored watching this for two hours, but how wrong I was. It was so interesting, in fact, that I decided to set myself a challenge and went into Birmingham the following day armed only with my iPhone 11Pro, which is about five years old. I thoroughly enjoyed that day especially without a camera and lenses weighing me down! Further, when I loaded the photos into Lightroom there were hardly any edits to do! I was so surprised at the result and so pleased. These are relatively ordinary snaps but now I’m eager to try something a bit more challenging with my phone! I thought some of you might like to challenge yourselves, too.
